Why Rapidex

Rapidex is a medical-grade cleaning product.

What is Rapidex?

Rapidex is scientifically formulated, water soluable powder that is designed to completely remove any residue from any surface that needs cleaning.

Will the colour disappear?

The colour of rRapidex is unlikely to change if the solution remains an active cleanser.

Do I need to rinse Rapidex?

Rinsing is an essential part of cleaning with Rapidex. (Contamination due to radiation may need up to five rinses)

There are solid particles in my Rapidex solution. What should I do?

Heating the solution up and mixing it again will cause the particles to dissolve.

How long can I soak items in Rapidex?

Instruments and glassware are suitable for prolonged soaking in Rapidex, however soft metals such as aluminium and zinc may be etched if soaked for too long.

Can I make a solution with Rapidex?

An unused solution of Rapidex can be kept for up to 7 days, but should be discarded within 24 hours after first use.

Can I put a Rapidex solution in a spray bottle?

Rapidex solutions can be sprayed, however spray rinsing may be insufficiently thorough.

What temperature is ideal for Rapidex?

The working temperature of Rapidex is 50°C, with a range between 20°C and 70°C, however a room temperature solution can also be used.

Is Rapidex a disinfectant?

No, Rapidex removes residues, which may contain microorganisms, from hard surfaces.

Does Rapidex have a smell?

No. Rapidex has no added perfume that might interfere with the job of cleaning.

What makes Rapidex so efficient?

The high pH and surface active ingredients allows Rapidex to function efficiently.

Will rapidex remove oils?

Rapidex removes all organic oils, as well as blood and any tissue residue. Mineral oils may be more difficult to remove and might require additional cleaning with alcohol after using rapidex.

Can I use Rapidex in my dishwasher?

This is not the recommended use for Rapidex, however Rapidex can be used at very low concentrations to avoid excessive foaming.

Can Rapidex be used in an ultrasonic cleaning machine?

Rapidex is especially suitable for this use, as surface tension holding dirt to surfaces is lowered by rapidex.

What about autoclaves?

Autoclaves fo not remove dirt. Rapidex with its complete rinsability does, thus rendering instruments uncontaminated and ready for the autoclave.
